Z0 together with z700 control fuel shutoff at high vacuum but only when the * is off. When the * is on the fuel shutoff is controlled by rpm (no fuel above 1900 rpm). Also check to make sure the clutch and neutral switches are working. The "n" should show up when in neutral and also when the clutch pedal is pressed down while in gear.

I haven't adjusted Z0 yet, but I'll try it tonight. thanks! chuck On 6/15/2011 7:05 PM, Ray Ayala wrote: Have you confirmed that the idle * is not coming on while this is happening? (it shouldn't be). Have you played with Z0 ? A typical setting would be about 3 less than you normal MAP at idle. ----- Original Message ----- From: Chuck Wills To: [email protected] ; [email protected] Sent: Monday, June 13, 2011 6:52 PM Subject: Re: diagnose bucking on Link'd 97 Thanks LGO, Fuel is spot on - and fuel values in the neighboring cells are similar to the ones involved in the bucking. WBO2 shows 14.7 there and in the vicinity. The more I think about it, I'm starting to think it's got to be something with the fuel cut rather than general fuel settings. -Chuck On Mon, Jun 13, 2011 at 9:06 PM, <[email protected]> wrote: I'm not familiar with the Obiwan as I have the standard link for FMII, but if your Link has the capability to adjust the overall or main fuel setting (Man! I hate it when I can't remember the term!) then I'd suggest dropping the value by 3 to 5 points. You may be just a bit too rich at 1900 RPM. I've got a turbo'd 97 with Obiwan Link. It's been a long time since I did any Link tuning, so I'm a bit rusty. This is not a new issue, just one that I'm finally getting around to dealing with. When coasting at slow speeds - parking lot speeds - there is a bucking at 1900rpm. It's pretty significant in lower gears. The TPS appears to be adjusted correctly, there is the * in the keypad display when the throttle is closed. relevant ignition and fuel zones are set fairly close to each other. I'm guessing that 1900rpm is where the fuel gets turned back on to return to idle... and it happens abruptly enough, and there's enough driveline lash, that it ends up setting up a vicious circle with the bucking. What do you guys think? Any easy fix? -----Original Message----- From: Chuck Wills <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Mon, Jun 13, 2011 7:13 pm Subject: diagnose bucking on Link'd 97 I've got a turbo'd 97 with Obiwan Link.
