I have an FMII setup on my 91 miata with the link ECU.  The knock reading
quit working and I am trying to find the issue.  

So far, I have:

Replaced the knock sensor with a new sensor for a Saab (supposed to be a
direct replacement)

Replaced the RCA cable going from the knock sensor to the Link box

Checked the resistance between the wire connections in the diagnostics box
under the hood (that the knock sensor taps into) back to the end of the RCA
harness to make sure I don't have any breaks in the wires.

 

I am hoping to have the knock sensor working by the weekend so I can run it
at the strip a few times and hopefully surprise a few people.  I just don't
want to take the chance of running it without the knock sensor and damaging
the engine.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
