This is certainly the longest setlist I've experience from Brian and
the band and it included a much welomed addition of a few new and
rarely played songs..

Three things were going through my mind when this tour was announced.
Why three shows in Germany and would the Munich audience get in to the
music? Easily answered as within minutes they were showing their
appreciation and love for Brian. The audience were up dancing at every
opportunity and a number of self made banners were placed on the stage
for Brian's attention. They also had knowledge of the stuff from TLOS.
Was I really wanting to go to another "hits" show? Well if I hadn't I
would have missed an absolute belter. Brian appeared relaxed and was
in good voice. He was straining by the time God Only Knows was played
but made a remarkable recovery for the songs from TLOS and the
encores.
Finally, would this be Brian's last tour? Let's just say that I hope
that I got three out of three wrong and hope that we see him
performing for some more years to come.

The band, well they were played so well and despite Nelson's absence
due to illness others filled in some of the percussion parts when
necessary.

On the beer front I've only managed to drink my way through three
Munich breweries (Augustiner, Paulaner and Hacker Pschorr). I'm
particularly loving the Wiess Beir (wheat beer) and due to strict laws
governing beer contents I also enjoying a hangover free weekend.

This morning I'm going to see the Munchen Philharmonic play. An old
school friend who I haven't seen for 37 years is playing french horn
with them today so he's going to be freaked when I appear after the
performance.
