Okay, my Rock and Roll Fly On The Wall, wish I'd been there moments... February 10, 1967 Abbey Road Studio One The recording of the orchestral climax for the tune A Day In The Life. I would have loved to have been at the party that was thrown during the recording of this. The film of the session looks amazing, with the likes of Jagger, Richards, Donovan, Nesmith, and others, being privy to something that would blow the rest of the world away four months down the road.
April 10-11, 1967 Western Studio 3 McCartney attends the session for Vegetables. It would have been very interesting to watch and gauge Brian's demeanor as Paul assisted with the recording, and played some of the up-coming Pepper tracks, especially in light of the fact that SMiLE was slowly falling apart. February 20, 2004 Backstage, Royal Festival Hall As painful as it may have been to watch, seeing Brian mentally prepare to go on for the first SMiLE concert. The anxiety level had to be through the roof. As an honorable mention - being a fly on the wall at 10050 Cielo Drive when Brian met Van Dyke. Actually, being at any party at this address while Melcher lived there had to be unbelievable. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Diamond Headz" group.
