About Del and the Wilburys, he was going to join them after Roy
Orbison passed away, but he topped himself before it ever happened.
That was a real shame.

I really enjoyed the first ELO album with Roy Wood, and the next
couple weren't bad either. But when Jeff Lynne found the disco beat
and sound, then beat it all to death, that was it with ELO for me.
His solo album, Armchair Theatre, is great, though, and he certainly
helped Harrison's Cloud Nine, and Orbison's Mystery Girl albums reach
the audiences they did. About 10 years ago, he put out an "ELO" album
called Zoom, and that one was pretty good. Harrison's slide guitar is
obvious on a couple of tracks, and the songs are more laid back and in
the Wilbury vein.

As for The Idle Race, I actually have two tracks by them - Imposters
Of Life's Magazine and Days Of The Broken Arrows - which are included
on Nuggets II: Original Artifacts From The British Empire And Beyond
1964-1969. I'll have to give them a listen; it's been awhile.
