I'm sure I'll be wrong here, and Andrew is welcome to "gong" me.
I believe that Carl, Al and Dennis? lent backing vocals to "Wishing
You Were Here" from Chicago VII.
Not sure what else they sang on.
I always thought Chicago's album covers were very clever. Most had
only the logo, but in a different "medium" so to speak. Here's the
breakdown: (I have a lot of free time today)

1 - Painted wood
2- Stainless steel
3- Torn fabric
4- Origami-type paper
5- Carved wood
6- Ornate "currency" look
7- Tooled leather
8- Embroidery
9- Greatest Hits - Partially painted wall mural
10- Chocolate bar
11- Map
12- Broke format after Kath's death and featured the band on the front
( I guess so that they could intro Donnie Dacus to the world...an
experiment that would last only 1 L.P.)
13- Sky scraper
14- Fingerprint
15- Greatest hits 2 - Montage of "Chicago" signs
16- Microchip
17- Wrapped package
18- Mosaic tile
19-Modern art???
20, 21 - More Hits packages - break in format
22-Big band instrument montage
23-29 -Hits collections (Do these really count?)(27 is cool- lawn cut
in the shape of the logo)
30- Carved granite
31- Another hits package !?!? Pressed wax
32- An unreleasd LP from 1993 - More carved stone

A final cool Chicago trivia factoid...
Jason Scheff, bassist/vocalist who replaced Citera, is the son of
Jerry Scheff.
Jerry is a session bassist who appeared on recordings by the
Association, Johnny Rivers, the Doors, Neil Diamond, Dylan, and a
million others.
Most notable, though, he toured extensively with the King and was on
the "Aloha from Hawaii" concert film.
He was also the bassist on Orbison's "Black and White Night" special,
Played on "Head" by the Monkees and recorded with Todd Rundgren.

Busy guy...
