I don't think that the kids should be removed from their parents. That would be punishing the kids moreso than the adults. Those kids just did what they were told, and I'm not too sure what kind of message they'll get from "Obey Your Parents and Get Taken Away." Then again, the two adults need to be punished for their stupid-ass stunt, and a hefty fine seems to be the best choice. Putting them in jail isn't going to solve anything. No matter what, they are now branded as liars, and no one will ever believe them again. God forbid that one of their children really do go missing. No one will buy it.
