Actually, have you ever heard their (last?) LP Elevator, put out under the 
name "The Rollers"?  Actually a pretty enjoyable record (don't think it was 
ever released on CD, though)...and not a hint of Tartan Plaid.
 
WIKIPEDIA update (I went there to doublecheck Tatrtan): There were 2 more 
Rollers LP's after Elevator:

sound. Their name was now *The Rollers*. South African-born Duncan Faurejoined 
the band as new lead vocalist, guitarist and songwriter. With Faure, 
the line-up produced three albums: *Elevator* (1979), *Voxx* (1980), and *
Ricochet* (1981). None of the releases sold well and they officially split
