One of the reasons Cathy and I blasted out of town for camping last
week is that we've started a new business awhile back and needed a
break to clear our heads. Paradise Rep Management was actually begun
in April, but we didn't start being our own entity until July 1.
We're basically a bookkeeping/business consulting company, with Cathy
taking care of the bookkeeping and consulting end of things. I run a
rep payee service for 88 mentally disabled clients, which basically
means that I'm their banker. I take care of all their bills and see
to it that they have spending money. That, in itself, isn't so hard,
but I'm just getting used to it (and I'm not a bookkeeper), and I
spend almost two hours a day on the music history stuff, so my head
has been swimming. Our initial idea was that Cathy was going to start
working from home, but just the opposite happened, She's gone more
now than she was before, and it's gotten really hectic. I think after
we get more settled in and have a better schedule laid out, things
will get easier. In the meantime, it's been pretty crazy.
