Nobody will ever convince me that The Beach Boys COULD exist after the
passing of Dennis, and (especially) Carl, who was SO important in the vocal
mix. I chose not to see the show, even tho' they were an easy (less than an
hour) drive. It was The Brian Wilson Band with BB guests, that's why 8
musicians were Brians.
I bought the album, and I'm sorry I wasted my money. I found more to
dislike with each listen. It's a much better album if you are in the next
room, and can't hear the details (sad to say). The final time I listened,
was to show a friend how truly mediocre it was. My impression of the CD is
that Joe Thomas fleshed out a bunch of abandoned Brian songs.
