The event is a disaster. The group, who had planned to leave a few days before the show to rehearse, is denied visas on a technicality, but finally receive them on the morning of April 3, and arrive hours before the first concert. The plane carrying the journalists develops a mechanical issue which delays the flight, and when the journalists finally arrive in New York 18 hours later, they are all drunk and hung over.
