I have yet to see it. The REAL Trek purists pretty much hate it. Other reviews like it as an action flick. It has not been making as much money as Paramount hoped. I have seen the first few minutest: Kirk and McCoy are running away from spear throwing aliens (Not sure why).Spock has to snuff out a volcano as the Enterprise hides underwater (because they don't want to violate the prime directive - not supposed to interfere with alien cultures) Uh, isn't snuffing out a volcano a violation?, Hiding UNDERWATER?? and I guess (SPOILER ALERT) what has the Trek community most disturbed JJ lied to them "Cumberbach is playing someone named John Harrison", well, he is really KHAN. Additionally scenes from Wrath Of Khan are duplicated and inserted just so the audience will relate to "Real" Star Trek. Lots of lens flare and effects that make you go "oh cool". Bring extra belief suspension for there are reportedly many crater sized plot holes.
