I've watched that movie tons of times, and don't see any of what she says about the film. While the movie is more or less about Tommy (and rightly so since his son is making the flick), it certainly incorporates everyone as part of the "crew." She even has her own individual segment in the film!
Larry Levine and Julius Wechter say that the term "wrecking crew" was bandied about back in the day while they were recording, even though they didn't refer to themselves as the "Wrecking Crew." Carol has been known to exaggerate in the past, and say she was on certain sessions when she wasn't, and claim bass parts as her own when she didn't play on the session. I don't quite understand her bitterness. If she dislikes Hal so much, why would she sit with him at the table (along with Plas and Tommy) to discuss the old days? And for her to diss Hal's kids, when it doesn't sound (in the film) like hers came out that swell, is strange. The movie is about their musicianship, not their personal lives. I think that if and when the movie finally does come out, she'll be singing a different tune... if those are indeed her words from that blog. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Diamond Headz" group.
