1957 – When word leaks out that Elvis is recording a Christmas album, Chicago radio station WCFL takes their outrage over a secular, sex-crazed rock n' roller performing sacred music one step further, and bans all of Elvis Presley's records. The station is picketed by the local chapter of the Elvis Presley Fan Club. Nevertheless, the station doesn't budge. In fact, KMPC-AM and KEX-AM in Portland, Oregon both follow suit.
