Liked the Buffalo Springfield, but tired of "For What It's Worth" while it was still on the charts. Neil's "Mr. Soul" (the B-side of "Bluebird"), on the other hand was probably played by every garage band in Cleveland...kind of by word of mouth, since it got no actual airplay. I enjoy solo Neil (my favorite whine?), but not enough to buy it. Not a fan of CSN&Y at all. Thought their previous bands were all better.
On the other hand, I disliked "Cherry, Cherry" right out of the box. Neil D's vocals always sound "affected" to me. I have grown to appreciate Neil D. as a songwriter (very non-standard), but I only liked sporadic hits of his own. I always wanted to ask Kontaqt to put together a ND disc for me....not just hits, but important LP tracks. Sadly, he left us before that happened. > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Diamond Headz" group.
