It is a car crash. Republicans basically believe that if you lie about
something enough (and in the right places), it becomes the truth. Last
election cycle, FOX News (aka faux news) predicted a landslide for Romney
(I like to call him 'Mittens'), even though he was losing in every other
poll. Trump people are the "Clinton lied" people.....that mantra began with
Bill & Monica (speaking of classy...) 20 years ago, and simply continues to
this day, only the first name has changed.

Donald has shot himself in the foot, comparing the loss of the Khan
family's sacrificed son, to sacrifices he made in order, to become a
billionaire. Now he's caught lying about the authenticity of a Purple
Heart...and also making light of it's acquisition. "I always wanted one of
these" = something nobody longs for ['I hope to go to war and have my blood
spilled'], not to mention his 5 different deferments when he was of
draft-able age. Trump draft record here.

Americans are dumb as rocks, and Donald's improbable success only
emphasizes it.. I think I'm among the last people to receive a decent
public education.....but since we were smart enough to rebel in the '60's
(mostly against Vietnam), the powers-that-be have made education =
consumerism. Teaching analytical thought just isn't required (or welcomed,
for that matter).
