You need a working DNS.
BTW, MICO works very well on FreeBSD, for many years.
We are running a complex distributed VR/AR system based on SecureMiddleware
(MICO, Qedo and OpenPMF) on a small FreeBSD cluster, simulating air and sea
transport in the SFO area.
