Fabio. I had the same problem. Was running Ubuntu 8.04. I successfully upgraded to 8.10 yesterday and the new Microdia branch compiled right away.
I also added a USB2.0 card to the system. Bottom line, with my camera, the Clinque Hue and the new card and kernel, things are still green. A little better progress in that you can actually tell what the camera is pointed at but it's still an ugly green.
