Here's correct version that definitely applies and compiles

Finally got it to work.

(Had to crosscompile for my 32-bit version of mplayer runnning on a
64-bit machine.)

Please get this into libv4l so I don't have to bother compiling it
anymore ;) .

Are you sure you're using i420? :) In dmesg you should got line like "Using i420 format", but not "Using raw format" or "Using jpeg format"
