Hi, thanks so much for your reply! I have installed from the repository: gspca-source 01.00.20-1 installed and latest is the same v.
the other thing i see that says gspca and isnt installed is: easygspca and it has a French description. I just checked and I have kernel 2.6.27 ubuntu.
