So... by continuing hacking and playing with the driver I achieved the
following:

1) At least camera is working on mplayer
2) By passing fps=30 and modifying the mplayer command 30 fps stream could be
seen
3) Some of controls are working:
- Brightness
- Contrast
- Red balance
- Blue balance
- Gamma
- Sharpness (works, but I haven't noticed any change of the picture)

Other controls, such as AWC, AGC, flips aren't working (invalid argument)

4) The whole image quality looks poor:
- Image is sharp and some kind of stable "pixel net" is visible
- Color transmission is incorrect: almost b/w; red & green colors are swapped.
So if I direct the camera to the RED object, it is displayed as GREEN (anyone
has ideas? probably image format or color space is incorrect).

5) When starting mplayer, fist 10-20 frames are corrupted and color garbage is
shown. At the time, dmesg displays a bunch of following messages:

usb 2-3: New USB device found, idVendor=0458, idProduct=704c

6) Skype shows nothing at video setup page (at preview zone). Probably it is
discouraged by first garbaged frames and gives up, whether mplayer tries to
continue.
