I would like to continue this thread where it left off, as I am a 0c45 6260 owner who would like to get skype working. I did not apply the 'bayer' patch above yet. I am not a proficient git user, but I checked out the latest as of today (Feb 13, 2009), compiled it and ran: insmod ./sn9c20x.ko log-level=15 Then I started skype: LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l2convert.so skype I logged in, went to options and selected Video device, verified that camera was selected and hit 'Test'. No video appears. This appeared on the console: Starting the process... Skype Xv: Xv ports available: 17 Skype XShm: XShm support enabled Skype Xv: Using Xv port 57 I then exited and this appeared on the console: libv4l2: error dequeuing buf: Invalid argument I'll send the dmesg output to the files section, named as 6260-skype- dmesg-output.log Also, under mplayer the image I get has a pink shimmering halo around white objects so the driver is not working perfectly. I will try with the 'bayer' patch above next.
