Right. It's not that it's "invalid", the markup itself certainly is not in error. However, the rating is simply not marked up and thus won't be recognized as part of the hReview. Note that the rating uses a single decimal point of precision (as apparently many real world examples do), and thus can't be marked up in hReview 0.2 accurately.
