I don't think so. I'm not trying to tag a post with a location or
timestamp. Rather, I have web content that represents a moment and

A bunch of folks took a look at vjournal to see if it made sense as
a basis
for a blogging microformat, and after considerable analysis (which
I believe
is captured on the list and in the hatom-issues document),
determined that
since vjournal first came out, blogging and syndication format
development
has advanced considerably, with all the experience behind RSS and
Atom.
I agree completely, but this isn't a blogging scenario in question.
My next theme rollout will include hAtom and this post will be marked
with the publication time, and maybe the publication place. But the
use case I'm presenting is quite different.
I could imagine producing a feed that exposed all the "moments" and
events I've published, and perhaps that would transfer the time and
location data to hAtom hentries.
But it doesn't smell right to embed an hentry in the content, as this
moment is not a feed entry (in context).
An analogue case: if you describe a conference presentation you just
attended, you might want to embed an vevent for the presentation. I
don't think anyone would suggest that hAtom is meant to replace
anything that has time and location!
Similarly, I think the next best microformat for my use case here
would be an vevent, but RFC 2445 says otherwise. Why should I
pretend that the moment I'm describing is a scheduled event with a
start and end time, or an item in a syndication list?
