Be aware that US gallons are smaller than ours.  It is usually 
simpler to use litres per second in your calculations.  10 gal/min is 
not a lot of water however you look at it (about 0.7 litres per 
second) but useful for battery charging.

Your 2" bore pipe (63 mm overall) will carry 20-25 USgpminute but 
this does not sound as if it happens much.  You could save money with 
very little loss by going to 1.5" bore pipe.

You will need about 20-25 gpm (1.3-1.6 litres per second)  to get 250 
watts.  It seems you might usually only get 50-100 watts.  This is 
still very useful over 24 hours, giving 1-2 kilowatt hours of energy.
