We have been selling an epoxy resin wheel with special additives for
over a decade with excellent results- in fact I have never seen one
worn out from abrasion!!!
I have seen a few with broken cups- generally we have put it down
to an 'unlucky infrequent manufacturing defect' or it was dropped or
impacted upon.
In the mining industry, pipe elbows in highly abrassive slurry
pipes, usually have an inner sleeve of various 'synthetic rubber &
plastic' substances.
