Galvo:

First measure the water volume, then the head ( from the intake to where the
turbine is going to be located) to determine the stream energy
capabilities -- even though the stream may look frozen, many times the water
runs under the ice.

I have made pico-hydros ( 10, 20, 30 watts )

I have distilled water with 100 watts, though little at the time but time
does wonders and, as well, energy for lighting when needed.

The question, what do you Really want to do ?.
If you are asking questions about your system -- do not keep it a secret,
otherwise you can not get the proper help.
