1) Since you have not measure anything and just thinking, and you are saying
the water does not move fast, you may need to pipe the water down the slope
to acquire pressure and use a Turbine to produce power and returning the
water back to the stream -- use about 25 to 40 % of the available volume.

Now tell me why do you need distilled water, what quantity and all the info
you can supply ?
