There are several schemes to use for siphon usage that need to determine the height of the dam in reference to the water level to the set up for the siphon to start working, as well as, the head available to attain energy harvesting Ideally, the pipe should start below the water level through the dam wall, but if that is not possible then a complete new arrangement is needed to be able to fill the siphon pipe prior starting the siphon effect. Question, can you inform about the dams heights, water level and down stream head differential ?. Canals have been used with Pipes on canal bed to bring the water pressure down stream for energy generation all depends on the canal characteristics and energy needs Can you detail what is available ?.
