Hi, we are building an alternative (well, to some of you this may not be alternative at all) home in Vermont and intend to go with an off- grid power system. Solar with backup generator had been our plan but we've discovered a strong water source uphill from our building site. Our intended solar system vendor doesn't seem interested in working with microhydro. Anyone know of a vendor/dealer/designer in Vermont, New Hampshire, NE New York or Massachusetts? We can install but would prefer to works with someone on design, so we don't make rookie mistakes.
