RE torque to heat.  Ingersoll Rands magazine "compressed air"  [defunct] had
an intriguing article about a heat engine about 5 or 7 years ago.  This was
designed to agiate water in a manner to  induce cavitation, which of course
all you turbine guys dread.... this planned cavitation produced heat with
great efficiency, but of course they had problems with component design to
resist these little atomic type ex or im-plosions.... never heard of the
result.
