Hi Micronetters, This morning I received an email, in English and Spanish, ostensibly from UCRS (the Retirement folks) about an upcoming advisory board ballot. The email came from the non-Berkeley.edu domain "[email protected]" and it landed in my Spam folder.
Consult@berkeley assures me that this is NOT spam. But it does tick me off. Not only does this sort of unannounced non-berkeley.edu or ucop.edu email encourage deviation from best practices by the readers, it could have gone unnoticed or been deleted, leading to the disenfranchisement of many UCRS members. Am I just grumpy, or is this yet another in a long string of questionable UC-generated emails farmed out in a clumsy way to 3rd party mailers (this time in Texas)? It's one or the other, folks!
