Sr. Software Developer, Co-Branding
About the Company:
InfoSpace is an innovative leader in the evolving web search and
online directory services market. Our network of award-winning
products provides users with fast and easy ways to find products and
services, businesses, people, and information online. These
destination sites are the company's core products, and InfoSpace is
actively and eagerly seeking a passionate, performance driven Sr.
Software Developer to become a key member of the team developing the
co-branding engine based on .Net technologies.
What will you be doing?
The co-branding engine (ICE) is a new and key project that will have
the facilities to abstract configuration, branding,
language/character set, device, environment and theme settings that
application developers can mix and match to develop applications.
The new infrastructure will be used to re-tool the InfoSpace's other
products. You will work with other talented and experienced
architects and developers to develop reusable building blocks for
use by application developers. You will work with state of the art
technologies, including .Net.
What should you have in your background?
--- A degree in Computer Science or an engineering discipline.
--- 5-7 years experience in Web and Windows based user interface
and frameworks development
--- Must have experience with ASP.Net and Microsoft suite of
technologies
--- Experience mentoring junior developers is a plus
--- Strong software development skills in C# and C++ is required;
experience with JSP and Java is a strong plus
--- In depth knowledge of .Net architecture including CLR, GAC,
ASP.Net internals, IIS internals, ISAPI filters and extensions
--- Strong command of user interface technologies and paradigms
e.g. Web, Model View Controller, Windows Event Management
--- Solid skills in object oriented development and its use in
user interfaces and application development; knowledge and
experience with design patterns a plus
--- Solid understanding and experience with concepts such as
caching, session management and load balancing
--- Experience utilizing XML and RDBMS as data sources for Web and
Windows based applications
--- Knowledge of web based technologies such as JavaScript, DHTML,
CSS, Java Applets, XForms and Macromedia are a plus
--- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and
team-oriented attitude
