Hello Midgard developers!
I am a web developer from Belarus (former USSR member). I downloaded Midgard
1.2.3 and found that it would be easily modified to allow usage of Russian
language in pages and user posts (it means not only display in one encoding but
in any of russian code pages ever existed).
I did about a 80% of russification. It includes translation of Midgard Admin
Site, modifications of libmidgard/format.c and php/functions/midgard.c, and
correction of long-existed bug in PHP itself that does not allowing to use
Russian Apache server's mod_charset module which is needed to correctly work
with russian code pages.
I'm planning to create patches against original Midgard 1.2.3 and send them to
you together with comments how to install and use Russian Midgard 1.2.3 (as it
could be called now :-)).
Because theese patches are small (code patches itself is about 30 lines long
but Midgard Admin Site is just another sql dump about 130Kb long) you can
include them in general Midgard distribution.
