The problem is that currently the behaviour
of some of the built-in forms in Midgard is
pretty basic. That's ok if you assume they
are only to be used by a qualified administrator.
For example, one or two people with
administrative authority over a site may use
the 'New Person' form in Group Admin to add
a person, and exercise due caution to make sure
they get it right. But if I want to open up
the privilege to enter new persons to others,
now I have to worry about all the ways they
might introduce errors into the record. So
instead of using or extending the code for
the existing forms, I pretty much have to create
it from scratch using the assistance of some
suitable validation library routine like oohforms.
My main concern is to make sure, as far as this
is possible, that I don't put some work into this
area only to discover that I didn't understand
what's planned for the Midgard distribution.
