It hasn't. Emile has the patched tarball made, but
there were some problems with the customized administration
interface there that prevented him from uploading.

can use them to link the person to some ID-numbered
records elsewhere, for example topics.
Midgard doesn't regulate in any way how you use
them, but they can be useful in some applications.
I guess the zero there just represents that their
default value is NULL.
