No, *I* did something wrong. Or rather, my ftp windows ftp client
which cheerfully replaced CRs by CRLFs :<
I can't upload a new patch now, but if you remove the LFs I
think the patch will work. Sorry for the inconvenience.
If you've got vim, the following will work:
$ vim -b midgard-*patch
:1,$s/^V^M$//;
:wq
where ^V and ^M are control-V and control-M.
