I just spent an evening tinkering around with the documentation that I
downloaded at the CVS repostiory. Perhaps it is convenient for the
development team to have it in SGML format, but it is very discouraging to
spend quite a bit of time to just get a plain text or ps representation,
and still get no reslults. I have limited rescoures, including time, and
getting Midgard running was an effort in itself. Would be really cool not
to have to spend tons of time just to get a manual in a simple form. I
know that SGML is elegant, but would just like a simple, easily accessible
format to work with. Info file, plain ascii, ps.
Not everyone is a master at using DocBook DTD, LaTex, etc.
To propagate the Midgard-project it seems you would like to have the
documentation easily accessible. Is it possible for whoever is generating
the SGML to also just post a plain text, post script, info version at the
CVS on the functions, etc?
site?
Cheers,
Eric
