Hi, everybody:
I've read the manual as the following:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
          The library allows Midgard applications to access the Midgard
          database. 

          The library uses the GNU configure system for configuration and
          installation. To install, run: 

          $ ./configure
          $ make
          # make install
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Some versions info about MySQL and OS as the following:
MySQL: set up with rpm. 3.22.27
OS       : RedHat 6.1
