I propose that the servers be named after women in Norse mythology. You
know, men did all the fighting and got all the glory, while the women were
just there to -- ahem -- serve the men.

The primary server, of course, would be Freya. Looking at my sources, I
find that Freya was also in charge of magic, and what could be more magical
than midgard?

(also easier to spell than some of the things you guys have suggested)

We also have for future mirrors:

-- Fricka, goddess of weaving (although I believe my mother once told me
that is very close to a wordy-dirty in several European languages...)

-- Bestla (Odin's mother)

-- Beyla (servant to Freya, prime choice for a mirror)

-- Edda (my references don't refer to her as doing anything but breeding,
which is not too bad....)

-- Embla (the first woman, created by Odin)

-- Esne (ancestress of all the peasants and laborers -- how about this for a
code-snippet repository?)

-- Gerda (a giantess with shiny arms, but it's easy to spell....)

-- Groa (a magician who cured Thor's headache -- midgard can certainly cure
site development headaches.)

-- Gunlod (keeper of mead -- we DEFINITELY would want to use this one!)

-- Nossa (name means jewel, and can be given to anything lovely)

-- Idun (blonde goddess of eternal youth -- this one is for me!)

-- Hertha (goddes of fertility, oh yeah!)

-- Sif (another fertility goddess -- can't have too many of those...)

I am sure you all have other favorites I have neglected.

(There are lots of others, of course. I just picked out ones easy to spell
and for which I found a nice story. I omitted Hel for obvious reasons,
others because I couldn't find out anything they did.)
