Good. Any autoconf specialists out there that would know how to turn off
optimization based on platform, or that have some development experience
with linuxPPC to help me track down the problem?

This is Alexanders' script so maybe he can comment on it. When I ran it I
needed to physically include the generated config file, not with an
Include statement, in httpd.conf.
