Haven't been in this situation, but my guess is that the previous
libmidgard was in the way.

With a sitegroups enabled Midgard one would login as admin* , as opposed
to admin in a non sitegrouped Mgd. There are more variations, and it is
A Good Thing (tm) to read the bit in the manual about sitegroups. _If_ you
decide to give it another shot that is.

Certainly a pity. _not_ commenting on anyones hairdo, I agree with Emile
that we should _not_ release a beta in this manner _ever_ again.
