I am going to upload my config.status files and Makefiles in a few minutes at:

http://www.schirmacher.de/arne/midgard/ (don't want to post them on this
mailing list).

The difficulties I had were:

I recompiled the Apache sources found on the DVD ROM, but not mysql, since that
works.
SuSE has different locations for the httpd.conf and apache modules files. So
the automatic mechanisms dont work. I had also some problems with include files
not found, which I solved by either installing the missing packages or copying
the files directly to the src directories, where they could be found.

I was following the Installation instructions on the midgard website (10 steps)
, which were very useful. However they don't work exactly as described for
1.2.5 anymore.
