I wanted to go somewhere I had never been before, so I decided to head east and
found myself at the Pawling Nature Preserve. After hiking around the trails
for a few hours, I didn't see a whole lot. In fact, I only saw 2 chickadees
and an Eastern Phoebe the entire time I was there. I heard a couple of
predatory birds and some woodpeckers pecking at the trees, but never saw
anything.

Did I pick a bad time to go observing? Is there a hotspot that I may have
skipped over?
