Everyone, First I want to thank Eric for helping me resolve this issue.
Somehow back in August I got a hold of a README file that did not have this setting identified. Personally it seems documented well enough now, both on mifos.org and in the current README. Question: When this issue is resolved, does anyone foresee an issue with a existing Linux DB? When this came up in the summer, I made sure to add it everywhere possible so that people didn't continue to stumble over this. I guess we need to try to make the note even more prominent (at least until the actual issue itself is fixed).
