Hello Arpita,

As far as my knowledge you are correct this is bug and its there
in issue tracker (no-1477). There is inconsistency between client and
group functionality in terms of loan cycle. You can try out same thing
for client, I hope it will work. Please let me know if you need more
information on it.

Hi Emily,

Thank you for responding.
I had similar impression of the feature. However, since the feature was
not
functioning in the expected way, so I thought there could be something
more
to it which is out of my knowledge.
In order to test the feature, I created a loan based on loan cycle and
disbursed it to a group. Then I got the loan repaid in full and then
disbursed it once again. Thus, while disbursing it on the second
instance,
the max/min/default amount of the second cycle should have popped up.
However, this is not the case. So, I assume that there is a bug.
Moreover, I wanted to know that when we disburse it for the second time
should the amounts of second cycle pop up irrespective of the fact
whether
the first cycle loan has been repaid in full or not.

Thanks & Best Regards,

Hi Arpita,

A loan cycle is the number of times a client has been given a loan. So
if a client is on loan cycle #3, it means it is their 3rd loan.

MFIs often increase the amount a client can receive as a loan as they've
taken and successfully paid back previous loans. So while the max
amount for a first loan might be 5000Rs, the max amount for a 3rd loan
is usually higher-- for example 15,000Rs.

This feature is supposed to define different max/min and default amounts
based on the loan cycle.

Very happy to see you QA this feature.

Emily.
