Hey Andrew, Here are some responses to your questions. I'm copying the functional listserv in case the responses are valuable to anyone else on the list.

[aw] I don't think there have been too many changes to the pages where you would configure 'additional fields' in v1.1 (client, group, center, and loan account creation pages). You could use v1.0 (demo server) as a baseline so you can decide what to include. Anything that is not in Mifos by default is included in the 'additional fields' heading, so you'll be able to tell on the demo server what is included in Mifos by default and what is user configuration. Once you have the list of fields, I'm happy to review with you and make sure there's no overlap with what already exists in Mifos. Note also that in v1.1 of Mifos, the additional fields configuration is in the UI, so it's relatively easy to add new values post-installation (assuming issue 1601 https://mifos.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=1601 gets fixed, which it should). The configuration FS and spreadsheet you are using will eventually be updated to reflect the areas that are configurable via the UI and which are done in properties files. The one you are using is still based on v1.0 where everything was configured via SQL scripts directly in the DB, as you know. > 2. What is "External ID"? So for example, you could configure Mifos so that "Address 3" and "Country" fields do not show up in the UI because you don't need to collect 3 lines of address information nor the country each time.
