Hi Aliya, I agree with what you say regarding the status changes. That is, the system takes care of every status change from Active in Good Standing to Bad Standing and finally to Closed-Obligation Made. My only concern was regarding the status change on reverting back a payment already made by customers. Because the status of Active good standing loans automatically changes to Bad Standing if a payment is reverted. So, on reverting back a payment on Closed-Met Obligation loans, was expecting the same behaivour. Thanks for your views on this.

So a loan account which once goes to Closed- > Obligation > Met state cannot be brought back to the Active (good/bad) state. Sorry for the delayed response in commenting on this. Actually, the state transitions from active in good standing to active in bad standing, to closed-obligation met all occur automatically in Mifos, not via a manual action. So, based on business rules in Mifos, the system will automatically determine the status of the loan (e.g. once all payments have been made in full, the loan is automatically marked as 'closed-obligation met'). So, I think this is by design that there is no link (since we assume that there is no status change that is valid for a user to perform once a loan is already closed). That's just my guess based on what I know about Mifos so far. Let me know if you disagree on that. > Its indeed a good idea to log bugs for both the points.
