Kay Chau reassigned MIFOS-2971:
-------------------------------
Assignee: Kay Chau
Need to add requirements around this, assigning to me
Correct way would be just modify the existing permission to only control
ability to shutdown, not viewing of active sessions, instead of adding a new
permission for viewing active sessions.
> Add permission to only view active sessions for Shutdown feature
> ----------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: MIFOS-2971

> Project: mifos
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: Roles and Permission
> Affects Versions: Release 1.5
> Reporter: jbrewster
> Assignee: Kay Chau
>
> The Shutdown feature added in v1.5 has a single permission - "Can shut down
> Mifos". When this permission is unchecked for a role, users in that role
> can't access the Shutdown page.
> One great part of the shutdown feature is its list of active sessions. I
> could see an MFI allowing several people the ability to view users, but
> limiting the actual shutdown control to a smaller team. This request is to
> add granularity to the shutdown page like:
> __ Shutdown (if unchecked, can't open shutdown page)
> __ Can view active sessions ( can view shutdown page, only refresh button
> active)
> __ Can shut down Mifos (enables/disables start/cancel buttons on page)
> Note: this came to mind as people keep starting the shutdown process on the
> demo server.
