johnwoodlock resolved MIFOS-2959.
---------------------------------
Resolution: Fixed
Story Points: 1
Scheduled For: Release
Fixed in Revision: 16f27bfc64b858736a93eb2337706df6ebfc6b7a
Problem was with mandatory and voluntary savings accounts.
Now, when a savings account is made inactive, future installments are set to
zero. When reactivated, future installments are set to the account's
recommended amount.
All previous outstanding due amounts (relevant for mandatory accounts) are held
onto and incorporated into the amount due when reactivated. Any installments
during the inactive period are 'zeroes'.
In the unlikely event that a part payment is made (relevant to a mandatory
account) and then the account is made inactive later on the same day. That
day's installment is set to paid...and the 'deposit due' amount is set to the
deposit paid (i.e. treated as fully paid even though it wasn't the full
recommended amount.. the extra amount that should have been paid is treated as
'inactive period').
if inactive, amounts due don't show in collection sheet entry... but do in
'Make deposit/withdrawal' (thats ok though I believe).
Tech Notes
----------
Was a little wider scope than initially imagined.
Had to make minor changes to queries associated with collection sheet entry (to
only bring back amounts due for active savings accounts) and
GenerateMeetingsForCustomerAndSavings batch job (to ensure inactive accounts do
have schedules generated and that their 'amount' is zero rather than the
'recommended amount'
Also had to ensure collection sheet deposits and withdrawals and 'loan details'
deposits and withdrawals all went through the same change status process when
going from inactive to active.
> Inactive savings accounts are showing mandatory deposit in collection sheet
> entry

> According to the functional spec
> (http://www.mifos.org/knowledge/functional-specifications/account-creation/savings-accounts)
> "If an account is Inactive, no voluntary/mandatory deposits due appear in the
> collection sheet/bulk entry form. Mandatory amounts due stop accumulating but
> the amounts already accumulated in the account remain."
> SECDEP has confirmed that even if a savings account is marked as inactive,
> the mandatory amount is still appearing. They do not have a recommended
> deposit for their volunteer savings product, so not sure if that would be
> showing up as well (but I imagine it is).
> I think how the functional spec describes the issue is the correct behavior,
> that it should stop trying to collect savings deposits once the account is
> moved to inactive.
